Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Vermont: Year-round Holiday Fun for the Whole Family

Known as America’s Family Resort and named
the No. 1 Kid-Friendly Resort in Eastern North
America by SKI Magazine, Smugglers’ Notch
Resort in Jeffersonville, Vermont is the perfect
destination for families looking for a nonstop,
action-packed holiday – no matter the season.
Hi, I’m Jody, and I’m here at Smugglers’
Notch Resort. I have to tell you this place
is phenomenal. There are more activities available
than you can possibly imagine, so follow me
as we explore.
For children ranging from 6 weeks all the
way to 17 years, Smugglers’ Notch Resort
offers award-winning programs. There’s truly
something for everyone, whether your kids
are into high-energy challenging adventures
or enjoy more low key arts and crafts. Every
day will be full of fresh experiences, excitement
and new friends.
If you would rather spend time trying new
things as a family, the zip line canopy tour,
which was voted one of the top ten courses
in the U.S, might be right up your alley.
As for me, I found the llama trek to be a
one of a kind experience. You get to pack
a picnic, and hike the beautiful grounds with
your llama in tow; now that’s pretty cool
for small kids and even big ones like me!
There aren’t many places that offer so much
to do, all in these gorgeous surroundings
that are also steeped in history!
For an exhilarating way to see all this beautiful
scenery, try flyboarding in Smugglers’ Bootlegger’s
Basin. Using water propulsion, you will find
yourself rocketed out of the water – it
is one water sport that is truly extreme!
If you would rather stay on dry land, how
about a round of disc golf? Also known as
Frisbee golf, disc golf is becoming one of
the fastest growing sports in the U.S. and
is fun for all ages. Alternately, see the
Green Mountains by renting a mountain bike
and cycling along one of the many trails that
run through and around the resort. And of
course in the winter months, families can
enjoy a different vantage point while skiing,
snowboarding or snowmobiling.
With all of the choices here, you can have
a wonderful family bonding trip, or you and
your partner can take a break together knowing
the kids are having a blast too. You can catch
up at the end of the day at one of the many
restaurants offering everything from casual
to fine dining, or hit one of the eight water
parks for a summer evening swim. Whatever
you choose, the views from just about anywhere
on the property are filled with the pristine
natural beauty of the resort’s historic
setting.
Getting here is easy via Burlington International
Airport as well. I would make every effort
to book a trip here very soon. Smugglers’
Notch Resort is truly outstanding, and I’m
blown away by all the activities available.
It’s been an incredible experience!
