Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort and Spa Cuba [JONANG FILMS] Episode (10)

Welcome to the Paradisus Rio de Oro
and this time in our final episode of our Cuban adventure
we’re going to be taking you on a walk around the hotel and the grounds
At the check in desk you can exchange your money they will give you
lots of information about your stay at the hotel including room service
and also where to make bookings, for example a day in the Spa
For excursions you will have to see your rep who will be around from time to time.
As you enter the complex you’re greeted by a beautiful setting
the lobby has been recreated to look like a native village
as you wander through you will see the charm and comfort that awaits
tropical plants, fountains and more can be seen
giving an air of total relaxation within the environment.
This is the main bar area in the lobby
and is where you will find most guests will congregate after dinner in the evenings
Other places to look out for inside the lobby are the tourist shop
where you can buy all your gifts and souvenirs to take back home
along with an internet centre, where cards can be purchased
to give you access to your social media buddies
beware though the service is not like it is in other parts
of the world, and can be tediously slow at times!
Cuba of course is the home of cigar making
so why not check out their shop for your favourite brand
or view the other numerous ones they have on offer
With 4 al a carte restaurants on the complex
you’ll never be spoilt for choice, there is always something to satisfy
This is the entrance to the Japanese restaurant
the others include, Cuban, Mediterranean and El Patio
The Esmerelda beach at Paradisus is beautiful
with it’s white sands and crystal clear waters
snorkelling is a perfect activity
with coral reefs just a few yards from the shoreline
More people are getting married abroad today than ever before
and the Paradisus offers a stunning location
their wedding gazebo right on the ocean front
The gazebo can also be hired for other special occasions such as
birthday and anniversary romantic meals for two!
At the top of the complex at the Paradisus
is another area of outstanding beauty, this being the botanic garden
wander around , see magnificent tropical
plants and fruit alongside some interesting statues
and outbuildings showing a different side to Cuban culture
It’s a perfect place to sit and reflect
The hotel has a choice of swimming pools
however, the main pool is very impressive and set in a fantastic location
surrounded by flora and fauna
it includes a swim up bar, a splash area
and a whirl pool the area also has Cabanas
for those wishing to take a break from the intense sun.
For our stay at the Paradisus we had
one of two suites on offer at the hotel
these are basically doubled size rooms compared to other guest rooms
the bathroom has a clean modern look about it
and the bedrooms are really comfortable with good size beds
and come with all the little extras you’d expect at a five star location
the adjoining room has two single beds
but we used this mainly as a dressing room and for luggage storage
with access to two balconies you get some lovely views
of the gardens around the block.

A little time then for some last minute
souvenir shopping before we board our Thomas Cook flight back to Manchester
It’s just over nine hours, but we were sat in the premium area
of the aircraft which is great value and
worth considering on any of their long haul flights
So it’s time to head back, it’s been a wonderful trip
and a visit that will remain with us for many years
people are very warm and take you to their hearts
the country is amazing with so much to see and do
we hope in this series we have managed to whet your appetite
to take flight and visit Cuba
possibly unlike any other destination on the planet if you want
that perfect Caribbean holiday then look no further than Cuba
It’s absolutely AMAZING!
Until next time, thanks for watching
