On a Scale of One to T-Rex: A Card Game for People Who Are Bad at Charades

From the creators of Exploding Kittens
and Wolfgang Warsch, creator of The Mind,
comes a party game for people who are
bad at charades.
Here’s how it works:
All players are given words and everyone
acts them out together, at the same time.
But, the words you are acting out aren’t
a secret. Everybody knows what everybody else’s words are.
You know that that person’s pretending to be a rooster,
and that that person thinks the floor is
lava,
and this person over there is giving a weather forecast.
You know this because everyone’s action cards are in plain sight, face up on the
table.
What isn’t in plain sight is your number card. This secret card tells you the intensity of your performance on a scale of 1 to 10.
So, if I was acting like a T-Rex at 1 out of 10, I’d have to make tiny little
cute T-rex noises and gestures.
I’d be understated quiet and maybe a little bit cute.
At the same time another player might be acting like a rooster — violently fluttering and flapping,
screeching and cock-a-doodle-doing around the room.
It’d be fairly obvious that that player is not a 1. They’re probably closer to a 10.
The goal of the game is to try to guess which players are on the same level as you.
It’s a game for people who are good at being loud and
also good at being very very quiet.
because the QUALITY of your
performance doesn’t matter, only the
INTENSITY.
So, if you want to make kissy noises, brush your beautiful silky hair,
give a weather forecast, chop an onion,
call your mom and tell her about your day,
or discover you have fingers,
and you want to give a terrible performance,
but still win all the awards,
then you should play this game!
Thank you very much!
